I watched him slowly stepping into the water, fixing his goggles unto his eyes and easily palming water from the Sea to get it all over his face, shoulders and chest. One deep breath and then he abandoned himself to the Sea. Calm, determined, swimming in straight line towards a distant island. I had enough time to get my camera and zoom in to get his hand getting out of the water, to then submerge again. Perfect harmony, a true joy for the sight. I called the photo “Determination”. That hand is my hand, your hand, anyone’s hand, as long as we stay the course.
