On December 17, 2019, San Francisco rallied in front of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's offices (she was in Washington at the time) in support of the impeachment of President Donald Trump, urging Senate Republicans to have meaningful hearings, and to put country over party. Trump was acquitted February 5, 2020, in a trial which subpoenaed no documents, and heard from no witnesses.
