After a hike with a few friends around Mount Rainier National Park, we began driving home. On the way back, we passed a lookout point that we hadn’t yet seen. All of us were extremely tired, except for one friend, who strongly pushed for us to make a stop and check it out, so we did. At this lookout, we noticed a bunch of birds flying around. I took a granola bar from the trunk of my car, and tried to get one of these birds to come over, and to my surprise, it actually worked! This is the first time I’d ever gotten a wild bird to land on my hand.
