Peaking at 2713m, the Watzmann is the second hightest mountain in Germany. The crossing across the three peaks is a famous and popular, yet challanging and time consuming route. Most people stay overnight at the Watzmannhaus in order to start the hike early the next morning. The moment when first light touches the mountain is truly magnificent, knowing the day only starts and a long hike stands before.
