We’re taught to stay in our lane, to put on the blinders, to look straight ahead. I mean, I get it. Really. There’s no danger in keeping to what’s safe and predictable. Fall into a routine and disregard anything that crosses over into your path. The coffee industry is a lot like that. There is a lot that goes on that doesn’t get talked about. There are a lot of hands that coffee runs through before making it to our cups. If we stop and look around every once in a while, we’re likely to learn something new about something old…and it could very well change our entire perspective.
