Saint Andrews bay on the remote sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia is home to over a hundred thousand king penguins. Large groups gather near a cleft in the cliffs, where they must dive into the water and make a short swim across the gap to regain their colony. For fear of predation by leopard seals they congregate nervously on the rocks, attempting to push in one of their brethren to see if the coast is clear.
