A painting of a cosy stone cottage by Sian Butler (my Mum). Sian is well known for her Australian Outback pastel paintings (number one, two, three etc., on Australian Google image search), but she is a also very versatile artist and has done a series of acrylic paintings of cottages. They are mostly inspired by cottages in Tasmania, but with an obvious British influence. In her cottage series, I like the way Sian has combined numerous textures and techniques to produce delightful scenes. She wants you to enjoy them and share them.
