Early in the morning, when the tide is just right, the incoming waves hit the sea wall and splash up into the air vertically. I was fortunate to wander down this end of the beach at just such a right time and risked myself and my camera to get shots of the sunrise illuminating the wave splash. I did eventually get soaked by a ‘freak’ wave!
