This is Jessie, the oldest chimp in Wellington Zoo. She loves observing people and she loves shoes. Thought direct interaction with the chimps is not allowed for all staff and volunteers (i.e. humans are always on the other side of the secure doors), she has come to recognise me as I regularly clean the outside of their habitat. She sometimes comes to the window to say hello as she did in this picture.
