On our way to Baños, Ecuador - yes, Baños meaning bathroom in Spanish - with friends who’d visited for my wedding, we passed the breathtaking mountain Cotopaxi. It’s not very often that you see Cotopaxi without clouds - a full view of the shear beauty and power of the mountain. Cotopaxi (19,347 feet) is the most famous in Ecuador and it’s active. Luckily, it didn’t erupt while we pulled over on the highway a few times so I could snap a few photos and and be in its presence. This mountain and photo is very special to me and my wife, an Ecuadorian.
