In most of the world, surfing can be extremely glamorous, warm weather, blue skies and seas. However, in the UK, you need to be a bit hardier, if you are to brave the waves. This was taken of a surfer in December, just of the pier at Bournemouth. The sea is a dark black colour, which I feel adds to the shot, as it is a great contrast to the white of the surf and the guys black wetsuit and yellow surfboard. I’m glad I was wrapped up warm to take it, as it was bitterly cold in the wind.
