Two hours outside of Havana, Cuba—Vinales is a valley that produces most of the country’s cigar tobacco. A combination of small towns and larger farms, this area had an authentic and hardworking atmosphere that one would expect to find in a country such as Cuba. While stopping for lunch in the valley, I snapped this picture of a local farmer and feel that the way the light bends around him is almost a reflection of how this valley is shaped by the people who live there.
