As we slowly hiked our way up the mountains of Munnar, India, we stumbled upon, what can only be described as a tiny little village. A few small huts, and a hand full of people. One woman was cleaning clothes with a small wooden bucket, while the other was drying coffee beans on a sheet of blue tarpaulin then I spotted this gentleman - chewing tobacco while cooking al fresco. Unable to speak each others language, I smiled and gestured at my camera and the kind gentleman momentarily stopped chewing the tobacco and posed for a photo. Then went back to cooking as if we weren’t even there.
