In this April 2020 photo, a team of three volunteers was preparing swabs to test residents of a skilled nursing facility in Detroit, Michigan, for COVID-19. The volunteer at right, would collect the specimen from the resident. The volunteer in the center, would then retrieve and store the specimen in viral transport media, while the member on the left, identified pre-labeled biohazard bags for specimen collection.
