I board my train on a warm Thursday evening in Amsterdam. Twelve hours and few trains later, I wake up in a charming Swiss village, where I meet two friends. We hike up the mountains, cook on a fire, and sleep underneath the stars. Sunday evening I take the train back to Amsterdam. It's funny how the memories of the uncomfortable train ride fade away while the mountain memories live on so intensely that the whole experience feels much longer than three days. This trip was part of my plan to have more train adventures. To fly less, and do more adventures instead.
