This is part of a collection of photos I took while strolling around James’s Gate, Dublin’s old brewing quarter. The photo shows the brewing vats sticking up into the Dublin skyline. On brewing days the smell of roasting hops can be smelled wafting throughout the city. For a time I worked beside the Guinness Brewery and the smell became a comforting reminder of fresh, tasty pints of plain at the end of the week.
