This is a series of aerial texture shots from one of Oregon’s hidden treasures: The Christmas Valley Sand Dunes. I visit at least once a year. The landscape is in constant flux, which you can see in several of these photos with wisps of sand blowing through the air. On this particular trip, the sky had an eerie red glow as smoke drifted into the valley from nearby forest fires. GPS struggles finding this place and will either respond with “wtf I dunno” or tell you to follow nonexistent roads.
