This photo was taken during a 5 month trip in South America. I have always been inspired and amazed by space, hence, I was thrilled about doing this astronomy tour in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. San Pedro de Atacama is known as one of the best stargazing spot in the world due to its height (approx. 2400m), and the absence of light and air pollution. The photo clearly shows the Milky Way. The ‘cloud’ located below centre is actually the Large Magellanic Cloud, visible at the night sky with bare eyes.
