Final photo of my Painted Hills collection. This is another viewpoint often overloooked by photographers. This is toward the entrance to the national monument if you're coming from the tiny town of Mitchell. Bonus points for that rockin' tectonic uplifting in the background. Bonus points for me as well for remembering tectonic uplift from a college geology class. This photo was taken about an hour before sunset. Spring rains added that lovely splash of green.
