Tank casemate (2017) is located in Meinerswijk and shows the inside of a Sherman tank with all its functionalities. It is made of weathering steel. The assignment from the municipality of Arnhem to artist Ewoud Groenendijk was "to provide insight into cultural heritage". During the Cold War, a number of Sherman tanks were cast in concrete in this area. The aim was to scare the enemy from the east.
