I was walking around in my ghostly, vacant town of Jackson, Mississippi after a quick rain had fallen. I came across this shot by walking down Capitol Street, which was once the “busiest” Street in Jackson. As you can tell, it’s not all that busy. It is an accurate portrayal of this city–as time keeps going, these quiet streets become more and more ignored and abandoned. I love the framing of this photo. Between the buildings and the trees, the clock that can be seen from all over town is showing 7:45.
