Icelands’s landscape is barren and stark. With very few (if any trees) to break up where the ground ends and the sky begins. This is no more true than at the slow bubbling geysir’s at Stokkur on the Golden Circle. It’s easy to be memorized by the huge geysir’s capturing the crowd’s attention as they launch boiling water 20 - 30 feet in the air. But my fascination lives with the quiet, unsuspecting pools cloaked by a thick layer of steam. Blurring the boundary between ground and sky, and fog and cloud is where you’ll find me.
