In 2017—artworks, a non-profit in Cincinnati—put on an incredible light festival for the entire city to enjoy. My good friend, Tyler Hamilton, worked hard to create a playful, yet interactive piece that played into both the spirit of the event and the spirit of renewal in our nation’s largest historic district, Over-the-Rhine. Tyler’s piece was funny in more ways than one. Cars would drive around the block 3-4 times, its inhabitants yelling a bit louder with each pass. Though a pass might take 20 minutes in one go. I’ve never seen the streets so crowded at night in the Queen City.
