Hiking near the south flank of Mt. St. Helen’s just above the Kalama river, we find life ever changing in this vibrant, abundant, and torrent climate. A microcosm nurtured by volcanic terrain, pelted by drenching rains, tree crushing snows yet kissed by the sun’s tender loving warmth.
