The Heart of Yellowstone - Grand Prismatic Spring

Many photographs of this natural wonder are taken from great heights in attempts to capture the grandeur. Whether it be from the view of the Bald eagles which soar above or from a 110kg black bear nestled amongst the backdropped forest. However I wanted to switch things up and get up close and personal to this magisterial piece of earth. Analysing all the intricacies, vivid colours and take time to ‘stop and smell the sulfur’. 3 things I love about this photograph is the reflection of the sky, the rising steam and if you look carefully - the people in the backdrop which add real perspective…
