It was a slow Sunday, and I was craving light. So I took the bus to the nearest dollar store, and loaded up on sparklers. Myself, my girlfriend and one other friend jumped around in our muddy back yard, painting with light as the sun rapidly disappeared beneath the horizon. I was alone in the backyard briefly while beers were being retrieved from inside. I lit a sparkler and marveled at the contrast between it’s rapidly burning light and the treeline behind it. Then I took this picture.
