Taken using a Sony 50mm lens attached to a set of Xit auto extension tubes and illuminated with a Neewer 48 light. This Phidippus johnsoni, also known as a Johnson Jumping Spider, is a female that I first encountered right after she hunted down a Prosapia bicinta (Peter bug or two-lined spittlebug according to Wikipedia). This second encounter made for a much better photograph.
