One last old-growth forest picture. I'm trying to cover these awesome ecosystems from multiple angles. This was about 30 minutes before sunset. A thin layer of clouds was moving in from the nearby ocean, creating this warm light. The blankets of moss covering the branches and big leafy ferns scattered all over the forest floor gave this a prehistoric vibe. I felt like I was in the backdrop for some dinosaur documentary on BBC or Discovery. And now you know what it's like to stand in the middle of a temperate old-growth rain forest!
