This photo was taken at my grandparent’s house in Mancelona, MI. As you young boy, I climbed every branch of every tree in their yard. Regardless of the amount of branches I broke, or how hard I fell, I never stopped climbing those trees. And when I climbed those trees, my grandfather would watch near by. So, when I broke a branch, he’d tend to the tree. And, when I fell, he’d make sure I was okay. And now that he’s gone, I see him in these trees. This photo is my dedication to those trees, those times, those experiences. This photo was taken for my grandfather: Emmett Burley.
