After a gruelling hike to find this DC-4 Plane Wreckage in the blistering Icelandic winter, we arrived to feel the high wind and blizzard conditions disappear. Suddenly, the sunrise turned the sky a purple shade, lighting up the mountains behind the plane wreckage. A magnificent experience and reward for enduring the long hike!
