Veni vidi vici. To conquer Half Dome 8844 ft (2695 m), you need a permit. To get a permit you need to win a lottery. I failed all two attempts available for the season per person and almost lost faith. We found out about the third successful attempt registered on Ira’s name in 8 hours prior the departure, which was 5 am. 4 hours drive one way, hike/climb 17m or 22 km + adjacent areas which took 10 hours and another 4 hour drive back home.
