golden hour photo of forest

I hiked up 6 miles up an Oregon mountain road ,pushing a bike, alone, to make it to this beautiful spot. I had been here once before, in summer. I was surprised to find most of the lake frozen and lots of snow still around the banks, even though it was late spring. My shoes were soaked from walking through snow and I was exhausted. Thankfully, I made it just before sunset and captured a few amazing shots before heading back. Thankfully, the return trip was all downhill.
