gold statue

Here's the first of two photos I'm uploading of "the gold pioneer" on top of Oregon's capitol building in downtown Salem. I tried this on a sunny day once and the only way to cut down on the glow was to use a heavy ND/PL filter that just didn't look good on the background. The gray cloudy skies are more of Oregon's style. In the background is Willamette University.
