Teatro 4 de Setembro is located in the Brazilian city of Teresina, Piauí. It has a facade with Portuguese-inspired architecture and Greco-Roman details. It is located in Pedro II square, in the center of the Teresinese capital and is one of the main stages for the performing arts in the state. The idea of building the theater came from a group of ladies and the state's First Lady, who longed for a comfortable, modern venue for the new capital.
