Life on Mars 2. This rough knob-tailed gecko is in the nocturnal house at Koala gardens, Kuranda, Australia. These lizards are nocturnal, so the lighting is very dim and red, so that they are active in the day time when people come to see them. To me, the red lighting makes it look like a Martian landscape. I hope that children will like this photo.
