Gillespies Beach Storm

Our winter trip to New Zealand’s South Island was punctuated by a steady string of strong storms, so while we were on the West Coast we hit the secluded Gillespie’s Beach to watch a storm come in over the ocean, battling to smother the late afternoon sun. The event resulted in very dramatic and directional light over the ocean.
