I always love watching the MilkyWay on a dark place. About 20 minutes away from my home one of the darkest skies of Austria is located. Even though I have been there easily more than ten times the darkness of the sky and the visibility of the stars absolutely strikes me everytime I go there. I took this shot in May this year. At this time of the year the sky is the darkest and the Milkyway is very well visible. If you look closely at the horizon you can even see some green airglow.
