Passing through the Oculus at World Trade Center on my lunch break, I noticed that the lighting was pretty dramatic. It was hitting one of the elevated observation platforms in such a way that it took on an almost religious quality. It’s an interesting juxtaposition for a place which is largely a luxury shopping center.
