The buildings in the Anden quarter have a valuable industrial history due to their advantageous location along the southern bank of the Svartån. In this place, the majority of industrial activities have been run with the help of hydropower since the early 19th century. The site has changed since then and the current older buildings have a high architectural value with period features of 1920s neoclassicism as well as elements of art nouveau and late 19th century mixed styles. The place's many years of history and changing use contribute to a high cultural-historical value.
