Dark, textured leaf surface with prominent veins.

My absolute favourite plant is up and about again for the season. Gunnera (part of the Gunneraceae family) instantly make you feel like you're in a Jurassic Park movie. The leaves are huge, to say the least. I've long been fascinated with their texture, which lends itself perfectly to black and white. You can currently find these (Summer months only) at various spots throughout the UK, including Winterbourne House & Gardens in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
