I arrived in Lisbon in the middle of the afternoon after flying through the night. I was exhausted so I met some friends who were already in Lisbon for dinner then went directly to bed. I was dying to explore my surroundings with my camera as I normally do with new cities, but it had to wait. My patience was rewarded within the first hour of walking around the next morning, as I found sights like this one around many corners. The anticipation I had built up made it all the more satisfying. Sometimes the wait just makes things that much better.
