With a swirl of Asian and European influences, Hong Kong is everything I envisioned and then some more. The wealth of cultures, albeit of modern times, can be seen in every nook and cranny – from the congee stands to the Gucci stores. I was surprised by the coexistence of social classes, both of which seemed to enjoy all aspects of this dynamic and exciting city. Although the weather wasn’t in my favor for my first visit, it didn’t stop me from exploring Kowloon city, Quarry bay, Lantau Island, Stanley, and Central Hong Kong, which is where I found this busy stop light.
