This is the view this morning from the lake near our home to mountains about 40 miles away. This particular photo was my attempt to improve upon a snapshot taken from a neighbor’s car yesterday afternoon. It had one of the same posts in the middle of the photo, rather than as a frame on each side. On the other hand, there was less smog yesterday, so their mountains and sky were impressive in a way I could not match today. Even so, this is better than I’ve seen that view look any other time in five years of walks and rides past that spot. Timing is everything! [Aurora HDR version]
