After a very long day cooking, but before the feast, I took myself out for a walk in the chilly November afternoon sun. Reflecting on how the world is slowing down for a rest, but does not ever go completely to sleep. This image helps me feel grateful for the abundance of the warm months, and also to feel hopeful during the dark, cold days that are necessary for Spring’s return.
