The photo shows the famous Cube Houses (Kubuswoningen) in Rotterdam, designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom. These houses are an iconic example of experimental architecture, completed in 1984. Each cube is tilted 45 degrees and sits on a hexagonal pylon, giving the impression that the buildings are floating in the air. The yellow and gray color scheme and unique geometric design make the Cube Houses a distinctive architectural landmark in Rotterdam.
