This shot was taken in Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow) Alaska, the northernmost city in the United States and one of the northernmost public communities in the world. It was in the spring of the year looking out across the ice pack at the sun setting on the Arctic Ocean. I find the angle of the light in this part of the world always interesting, constantly shifting and drawing you in.
