A strangler fig with a science fantasy/fairy tale look to it near the Mulgrave river in North Queensland Australia. The tree is growing in the flood plain of the river, and if you look carefully you can see debris caught in the tree from when the river last flooded. The tree is not well known, and is not far from the Gillies Range road before Ross & Locke driving from Gordonvale.
