Have you ever been in a car with the A/C set to 80 degrees and it felt cool because it was 110 degrees Fahrenheit? This was one of those days in early July 2018 at Arches National Park. Due to the extreme heat the park was almost empty. My wife and I wanted to go on a couple of small hikes, but it so hot out that we had to stick to a driving tour. This picture was take at the tail end of our trip into the park. The heat didn’t really lend itself to taking time to setup a tripod and waiting for the right light; all photos were handheld taken with a Canon 5D Mark IV.
