With fog covering the city, I walked up Sugar Loaf Mountain Park hoping to get a view from above the fog. As a bonus I met this young buck, who seemed to welcome me to his environment. I didn’t need to hurry, and took my time selecting an f stop of 4.5 to keep the background trees out of focus, and a shutter speed of 1/250 sec to prevent camera shake. Since his head was off-centre, I used back-button focus to ensure sharp definition of my new friend’s head. We parted and I continued on my way to the summit for other photo opportunities.
