Krosshaug is a 3 meters high stone cross from very early Christianity of Norway. It stands directly on rock, not on a burial mound. Such stone crosses were used by Christians as places to come together before churches were built. In Norway they were often erected on existing community places (tingsted). The cross was broken in 1847 and repaired 1869 with the two parts joined by the iron ring.
